I’m sitting here in my little kitchen, with a mug of tea, wondering how I’m going to spend my day off today. I think about getting creative, making art, and planning on how to finish a project I started 3 weeks ago.
Scrolling through the news, I came across this:
Its a banana stuck to a wall.
This work of art (by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan) sold for $120k dontchya know. AND you have to change the banana every so often!
Well now, clearly I have been doing this art thing ALL wrong….pity I ate my banana for breakfast, pfft!

Ok so I’m hopeless at blogging, heh! So caught up in work. My days start early and finish late, and are filled with a myriad of people buying a myriad of odd things. (In one shop we had a sale….buy two, get one free. A woman bought three packs of socks, saying she would only use two packs, but another free pack was better as a spare. I suggested she use it as a “stocking filler for Christmas……” She didn’t get it, ah well)
Took this shot as I walked to the train station one foggy morning.
Been playing with incredibox which is a music maker in which you have funny little guys make music and singing lyrics by picking different clothes. Weird, but then all weird things amuse me! (One of the lyric lines is “When an elephant bats it back, c’mon yeah, ya gotta get up”)
Marvelling at the recent frost affecting nature – this spiders web is amazing!
I may also be buying a 5ft tall stuffed plushie monkey. It weighs a ton, is as tall as I am and will take up a train seat all of its own. Should I actually buy this monstrous thing, (it was stuck in the basement of a shop I work in….it needs rehomed!) I will have to literally carry it down one of Glasgow’s busiest city streets, amongst Christmas shoppers, because I don’t drive y’see. Now that’ll be a feat worthy of documenting, heh!
